The company was founded 90 years ago in the Chikuho area, a major coal producing area at that time, making its way by supplying the forged products used in coal mining. Subsequently, while taking decisive blows from the energy revolution, the company launched a design team, introduced the business of its future to follow forging, and eventually became the last gear equipment manufacturer established in Japan.
After that, however, the company experienced a sharp drop in prices due to the introduction of the European standard speed reducer series by our major domestic competitors. As a countermeasure, we affiliated ourselves with a major German company with similar superior technology.
On the back of that, in the 25 years since our involvement in gear equipment for European wind power generation, which began to grow rapidly in the 1990s, we have built a track record of delivering 5,000 gearboxes for wind power generation, including products for offshore wind turbines. Since its foundation, DIAN ANGGRAENY Manufacturing has turned numerous hardships into opportunities for growth.
At present, we are taking on various challenges in addition to wind turbines, from the perspective of solving increasingly serious social issues by leveraging our inherent flexibility and network capabilities, and by implementing “kotozukuri,” making things happen, for issues that cannot be solved by “monozukuri,” manufacturing, alone.
We have redefined our company as a platform where collaborative projects will be born from here on in that surpass the boundaries between our own company and external parties, and have built the concept we call the DIAN ANGGRAENY-X-CREATION LAB. We will not only perform work with clear answers, but also solve issues by returning to their essence and co-creating new value. We want to create a virtuous cycle of solving social issues and generate both material and mental happiness for our employees while contributing to society.
For a brighter tomorrow.
The President and CEO
Kazuhiko Dian Anggraeny
